English Homes (incorporating Barons Property Sales) is an independent firm of estate agents covering a wide and diverse area of South Somerset centred around Langport, roughly bounded by Yeovil, South Petherton, Taunton & Somerton. Our aim is to combine traditional values of customer care and service with modern technology giving our clients, whether local or from the other side of the world, a very personal marketing service. We are so confident in our service that we do not tie our clients into lengthy contracts.

Experienced and Local Staff

Our friendly and efficient staff are here to guide you through the buying and selling process and we have many years experience between us. Michael English managed Barons Sales for 4 years before recently buying the business together with his partner Olwen Herridge. Supported by Fiona Brain who has been with us for 9 years, we are a solid team, and well motivated to sell your home.

Marketing

We move to best suit prevailing conditions. Our emphasis lies strongly with investing in quality web-sites, as these are proven tools. We also advertise in the local press, use eye-catching For Sale boards, and snappy details with floorplans. Our details are printed in-house so can be quickly updated to suit our clients needs. Our office in Langport attracts significant 'footfall' as it occupies a prime position in a busy shopping centre beside the post-box, pedestrian crossing, and bus stop. We also display properties in a smart display cabinet at the nearby market town of Somerton. We are affiliated with an office in Wimbledon, to help attract the London buyer.

He sees his role as giving the best financial advice he can, and not to help us sell houses.... but by doing the former, the latter follows. There are private offices available for consultation and home visits can be arranged.
